Specializing in litigation related to environmental hazards and toxic torts, Jourdan adeptly navigates complex legal landscapes to protect client interests.
Jourdan is an active member of multiple trial teams defending product manufacturers in both individual and mass-tort actions across various industries, including medical device, pharmaceuticals, chemical, and consumer products. Additionally, Jourdan possesses recent experience in construction industry litigation and resolving contract disputes, including engaging in appellate practice.
Jourdan’s approach emphasizes close collaboration with industry experts, including neuropsychiatrists and endocrinologists, to enhance their understanding of relevant literature, as well as guiding each expert through the process of creating comprehensive reports and preparing for depositions, and equipping them with the confidence and tools necessary to effectively articulate their insights, thereby bridging the gap between complex scientific principles and legal standards. Outside of her legal pursuits, Jourdan is actively involved with the Young Leadership Council (YLC). Jourdan also has a passion and talent for competitive ballroom dancing.
Experience
- Represented a parish-wide school board in a wrongful termination and defamation proceeding and argued before the Louisiana Second Circuit Court of Appeals on an Exception of Res Judicata appeal.
- Represented various commercial oil companies in legacy litigation lawsuits, defending claims of breach of contract and tortious liability.
- Represented clients in the defense of a specific performance lawsuit related to the purported sale of immovable property and the prosecution of a breach of fiduciary cause of action and legal malpractice cause of action.
