Bio
Lizzi defends personal injury and property damage claims arising out of automotive and trucking accidents, business premises, environmental accidents, products liability, food contamination, insurance, and general liability. She has represented major pharmaceutical clients in all phases of the litigation process, including discovery, motion practice, expert workup, and trial preparation. She has experience in single-plaintiff, multi-plaintiff, and mass consolidated litigation.
Experience
Successfully defended truck driver in automobile collision trial resulting in a finding of no liability
Removal of matters from state court to federal court based on diversity and federal question jurisdiction
Identifying, retaining, and coordinating experts in litigation-relevant subjects for mass-tort litigation as well as individual lawsuits
Preparation of witness kits for potential 30(b)(6) corporate deponents for major medical device manufacturer in national mass consolidated products liability action
Depositions of plaintiffs, experts, and fact witnesses
Briefing and arguing dispositive motions in dozens of cases on a variety of grounds
Involvement in mock jury exercises
Facilitated settlement negotiations and agreements, including the use of alternative dispute resolution
Argued motions in state and federal district courts
Taken depositions of doctors, plaintiffs, and fact witnesses
