Bio

Tim is a nationally recognized trial lawyer who represents a broad range of clients, including pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers, railroad companies, and industrial organizations in high-stakes litigation involving product liability, environmental claims, commercial disputes, and catastrophic personal injury matters. For more than four decades, Tim has served as lead trial counsel in complex cases throughout Louisiana and across the country, helping clients navigate multidistrict litigation, class actions, and other matters where strategic case management and trial readiness are critical.

Over the course of his career, Tim has represented clients through every phase of litigation, from early case assessment and discovery through trial and appeal. Although guided by the instruction and best interest of the client with respect to resolution of the case, Tim approaches litigation with a trial-readiness mindset, helping clients evaluate risk early, develop efficient defense strategies, and prepare every case as though it will be presented to a jury. Tim’s extensive knowledge of business, regulatory, and operational considerations also provides him the ability to develop practical litigation strategies that address immediate legal challenges while supporting long-term business objectives.

In addition to his courtroom practice, Tim regularly serves in leadership roles on multi-jurisdictional matters, assisting in the coordination of defense strategy among national trial teams, local counsel, corporate legal departments, and technical experts. His experience managing complex litigation involving scientific, engineering, and operational issues has also made him a trusted advisor for clients confronting litigation that carries significant financial, operational, and reputational risk.

Tim also serves as President of Irwin Fritchie Urquhart Moore & Daniels LLC, where he helps guide the firm's strategic direction while maintaining an active national litigation practice. Throughout his career, he has remained deeply committed to the legal profession through leadership in bar associations, trial lawyer organizations, and legal education. He is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers in which he served as Louisiana State Chairman for two years, and he has served as President of both the National Association of Railroad Trial Counsel and the New Orleans Bar Association, and he has devoted substantial time to teaching ethics, trial advocacy and mentoring the next generation of litigators.

Whether serving as first-chair trial counsel or advising companies on their most significant litigation exposures, Tim brings the perspective of an experienced courtroom advocate and firm leader. He focuses on helping clients manage risk, resolve disputes efficiently when appropriate, and prepare every case with the discipline and thoroughness necessary for trial.
